Hillarie Zoe Scannelli is the owner and head trainer of !MPACT Training (Hillsborough, NJ), and is certified in Personal Training, as well as Lifestyles & Weight Management and Sports Nutrition. She is a Fitness/Figure Champion (2009), and was also a published fitness writer forNatural Bodybuilding & Fitness and Best Body Magazines from 1998-2005. With 14+ years experience, Hillarie is able to teach the science of increasing lean muscle mass and decreasing bodyfat with the proper diet. Since 1998 Hillarie has been providing individuals, families and elite athletes with nutritional programs that have changed their lives – whether their goal was to maintain a certain weight, lose weight or gain weight for their sport of choice.
Many athletes need to increase lean muscle mass, while others need to significantly decrease bodyfat. Targeting the perfect diet plan is especially helpful to the athletes who need to have both speed and strength, while meeting a required weight. Hillarie provides the athletes with sample diet plans in an effort to help them understand how to fuel their bodies for optimal performance and to help them meet their individual weight goals.
Hillarie continues to lead the Sports Nutrition program for BMartin Sports from 2012 through 2016 . . . and led the sports nutrition program for TEST Football Academy (NJ & Florida locations) from 2005 through 2011. Each year Hillarie worked with their elite college football players who were preparing for the NFL Combine and the draft. Through BMartin Sports and TEST Football Academy, Hillarie has had the pleasure of working with some talented players who are actively playing in the NFL today (including some early round draft picks like Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens, Vladimir Ducasse formerly of the NY Jets & Minnesota Vikings, Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals, Arthur Moats (Pittsburgh Steelers) Will Tye (NY Giants), Michael Burton (Detroit Loins), Nick McDonald (New England Patriots) Chris Hairston (Buffalo Bills), Da’Rel Scott of the NY Giants, Jeromy Miles (Baltimore Ravens), Junior Galette (New Orleans Saints), Michael Lockley – formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars . . . and about 20 more players! And Hillarie also provided some nutritional guidance in the summer of 2011 for some of the NY Jets, including Team Captain, Bart Scott who was looking to regain focus on his nutrition – as well as recently retired Damien Woody and Kris Jenkins.
In addition to concentrating on nutrition for football players (ages 9 through college years), Hillarie has worked college-level baseball players, as well as a variety of middle school and high school sports teams (girls’ volleyball, girls’ soccer, lacrosse, and baseball) to help them implement a sound nutritional plan for practices and games/events.
Preparation for elite athletes is so different (training and nutrition) than it is for an traditional fitness enthusiast who is simply trying to eat well to remain healthy and fit. Athletes need to be able to focus on the game – and not worry their performance might be affected by a low fuel tank. No matter what sport you play, you need to “FUEL IT RIGHT!”
