Although all of Hillarie’s nutritional counseling sessions are customized based on each client or group’s personal goals, the basics of healthy eating and the importance of balancing meals is stressed at every appointment. Whether your goal is weight loss (decreasing bodyfat), weight gain (increasing lean muscle mass), or weight management, Hillarie can provide the guidance you need to reach your fitness goals. Age, health, fitness level, and fitness goals are all taken into consideration. You can choose to cover topics like:

SUMMARY ON WHAT TO EXPECT FROM HILLARIE’S NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING: Nutrition equates to at least 75% of your success. What we eat amounts to how we feel, look AND perform every day! The initial session lasts 1.5 hours, and it is very interactive — so you will learn a lot and you will not be bored at all! At this appointment you will gain a clear understanding of exactly what you need to eat and why. Hillarie will teach you how to eat balanced meals – and how to work them into your daily routine/schedule. Learning to eat healthy, “balanced meals” will help you increase lean muscle and decrease bodyfat – and you will become lean, fit and strong! And with obesity and diabetes growing in the US every day, this session will also help you learn to eat properly so you reduce your chances (or your family’s chances) of experiencing the onset of diabetes. We talk about the importance of eating our calories – not “drinking them” (if your goal is to lose weight for health reasons or for sports specific purposes). And we talk about adding quality calories if you (or your child/teen) needs to gain weight for sports or other reasons). You will leave the session with plenty of handouts to help you with meal planning too, since that is crucial to your success. Hillarie often shares some of her favorite protein supplements and snacks during this appointment in an effort to introduce healthy options that maybe you wouldn’t have tried on your own – and she can make suggestions on convenient places to purchase those supplements. Please note that if the appointment is a one-on-oneappointment for your child/teenager who needs to lose weight, gain weight or needs sports nutritional services, a parent MUST attend the session so the nutritional plan we outline can be implemented at home. In that instance, there is no charge for the parent to attend.
