!MPACT Training offers Strength & Conditioning in a few ways:

1) You can book One-on-One Training so you (or your child or teen) gets individualized attention.  First we evaluate the athlete to outline their strengths, as well as any weaknesses they may have – then we create a customized training program accordingly.  We use cutting-edge equipment (see list below) to help them get strengthen and condition their bodies through a variety of weight-bearing exercises and functional movements.  These sessions last 50minutes and are by appointment only.

2) You can find a small group of friends or team-mates to train together as part of our Semi-Private Training Program.  There is a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 8.  You gain the benefits of working with a personal trainer at a fraction of the cost for One-on-One Training.  And again, this session would be customized to meet the needs of the athletes.  These sessions last one hour and are by appointment only.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM OUR STRENGTH & CONDITIONING PROGRAMS?:

The philosophy behind this type of training is geared towards helping athletes increase their strength and overall conditioning of their bodies.  Kids are introduced to age-appropriate weight training which provides a great foundation so they understand proper form and can gradually increase their weights as they get older.  Teenagers (and young adults) are taught proper form for weight training — in addition to gaining a better understanding of how to “push” their bodies a little harder during training in order to increase lean muscle mass.  An athlete needs strength in their upper body, CORE, and legs/glutes in order to have better control of their bodies – better performance.  Therefore, the athletes who participate in this type of training will build strength (full body) in addition to conditioning the joints and ligaments that are in desperate need of attention.  Weighted and functional exercises using cutting-edge equipment (see list below) are performed during training so the major muscles are worked – and the connective tissue is strengthened to provide additional support.  This type of training not only helps to increase strength, but it also reduces an athlete’s risk of injury — and improves their balance, coordination, speed and CONFIDENCE!   This training will get them ready for anything — so they are ahead of their competition.  It’s a great way to cross-train during their sports season or to develop skill in the off-season.
